Don to Charlie: Why didn’t you tell me?
s5ep11 Arrow of Time
Charlie to Don: Why didn’t you call me?
And once again I’m amazed how well-written their relationship is. All is said with few open declarations and lots of little subtle gestures and words. Come to think, Charlie’s scolding that everything has to do with math in 5-11 sort of echo Don’s statement that Charlie can come to him with anything in 4-11. No matter, how pissed of or busy or whatever Don is, he’ll help his little brother out, and no matter, what mess his big brother is in, Charlie will find a way to straight it out with math.
The soul of the show! <3<3

“When I look up at the night sky, and I know that, yes, we are part of this Universe, we are in this Universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up—many people feel small, because they’re small and the Universe is big, but I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars.” - Neil DeGrasse Tyson [x]

I love all the characters on Northern Exposure, but Joel is my favorite, for so many reasons. (More NX spam to follow in the days to come because as I’ve said before, there is not enough NX on tumblr..)
Agreed 100%!!!
